Your workshop leader

Carrieanne is a Master of the Arts (Theatre Studies), a performing arts practitioner, a further education teacher for personal development and a workshop facilitator.

Her PGCE in Secondary Drama (2016), experience in education and extensive experience creating performance work with others in different contexts has contributed to the development of bespoke freelance workshops for different venues.

Carrieanne started her first performance-based workshops in 2010 when receiving Arts Council Funding to deliver a project which included workshops live with a company and online for the public. She has since delivered freelance performance-based workshops exploring different themes. Her current workshop combines sound poetry, movement and voice activities to develop confidence and strengthen self-expression in the individual.

Carrieanne may have been surprised (as I was) at the level of vulnerability amongst the course participants. She seemed to take this in her stride and skillfully balanced the course content and delivery so that everyone was catered for, despite the range of needs and capabilities - participant Swarthmore Education Centre.

Chuckle, Was gladdened by attending more each week.
